Northern Pharmacies Ltd was established over 40 years ago with their first pharmacy opening at Brownlow in Craigavon. This pharmacy today provides a comprehensive and innovative pharmaceutical service to the local community. Further additions to the Company portfolio since then have included our pharmacies in Greyabbey, Poyntzpass, Hollywood and Cullyhanna. The Company has recently invested considerably in relocating it’s pharmacies in Greyabbey and Poyntzpass in order to provide their staff with state of the art facilities to provide a leading pharmaceutical service. The Company has established links with the Pharmacy Undergraduate programme at Queens University Belfast and more recently University of Ulster at Coleraine in helping to support training and development within the profession.

The Company donates a portion of its operating profits to the Northern Pharmacies Ltd Trust Fund. The Trust supports projects in research and health to promote improvements in outcomes for patient’s health. Examples of recent projects include a study with Queens University Belfast to assess the feasibility of monitoring patient conditions in their own home using cutting edge information technology. The Trust has also recently paid for the salaries for a team of pharmacists in a hospital in India for a year.
