NHS and Private Prescriptions dispensed

We dispense both NHS and private prescriptions. We also offer a free prescription collection service from local GP surgeries. Contact your local pharmacy for further details.

Your pharmacist is there to answer any queries you may have and is available to speak to in private.

Repeat Prescription Service

We can look after your repeat prescription for you, saving you the hassle of having to contact the doctor every month to reorder. Contact your closest pharmacy for find out how.

Prescription Delivery

Whilst we encourage our patients to get to the pharmacy to collect their prescriptions for the best possible healthcare advice we realise that there are some patients that cannot access the pharmacy. We can deliver medication to our patients that are housebound. Just phone the closest pharmacy for details.

Minor Ailments

We can provide free treatment and advice for a range of minor ailments under the NHS funded Minor Ailment Service. Currently available are treatments for

Smoking Cessation Scheme

This is a 12 week programme provided by the pharmacy offering support and advice to help you quit. If required our Pharmacists can supply a nicotine replacement product free of charge.

Lipotrim

This is a weight managment programme run by healthcare professionals using a safe and effective formula. The products provide you with the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of minerals and nutrients whilst on the weight loss programme. Medicines Management

Medicines management is a pharmacy based medication review service which ensures that you receive optimum treatment. It supports you to ensure that both over the counter and prescription medicines are used appropriately and improves your understanding of your medication. The pharmacist will also liaise with other members of the healthcare team to agree and implement measures to overcome any problems you may be experiencing and/or ensure the most appropriate therapy is being used. Counter Medicines

We carry an extensive range of over the counter medicines as well as vitamins and minerals. Our staff are happy to advise you on these.

Safe disposal of unwanted medicines

Any unwanted or out of date medicines can be disposed of by the pharmacy.

Surgical and incontinence supplies

We supply a wide range of stoma, surgical and incontinence products, such as bags, mattress covers and so on. The pharmacist is available to speak to you in private about this if you wish.

Hosiery

We can dispense support stockings ordered on prescription by your doctor. We can also supply other items not available on the NHS such as support tights.

Emergency contraception

We offer an emergency contraceptive tablet in store. The pill must be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex. In order to get the morning after pill you must have a confidential and anonymous consultation with the pharmacist which will be conducted in private. If the tablet is suitable for you the pharmacist will then be able to supply it without the need to go to your doctor.

Oxygen Supply

We supply oxygen equipment as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor may also recommend the use of a nebuliser for asthma or breathing problems. Whilst these are not available on prescription, we can supply them. We can also advise on the use of inhalers and peak flow meters.

Needle Exchange Service

This is a service for injecting drug users to help limit the spread of viruses such as HIV and Hepatitis B and C. Drug users are issued with needle and syringe packs in return for old needles and syringes. The pharmacist can also encourage the use of other drug action services and facilitate referrals to other agencies where appropriate.

Veterinary

Veterinary prescriptions dispensed and POM-VPS products supplied if required. An essential range of veterinary products are stocked.
